Windows 10 end of life: the charity sector gap
Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 in October 2025. Machines still running it receive no further security patches — a real concern for any organisation handling donor data, beneficiary records, or financial information.
The upgrade path to Windows 11 is straightforward for most hardware, but licence costs can be a barrier for smaller charities operating on constrained budgets. We sell Microsoft licence keys as our core business, and we have the ability to help — so we are.

Frequently asked questions
Windows 11 requires a 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and TPM 2.0. We’d recommend running Microsoft’s PC Health Check tool before applying to confirm compatibility.
The scheme is capped at 2 per organisation to help as many charities as possible. If you have a larger requirement, get in touch and we can discuss options — a reduced rate may be available for larger volumes.
For most small charity operations — email, documents, spreadsheets, video calls — Windows 11 Home is perfectly adequate. If your organisation requires domain join, BitLocker, or remote desktop hosting, Windows 11 Pro is more appropriate. Windows 11 Pro is available at £38 if needed.
The scheme runs until the 100 available licences have been allocated, or until further notice. Applications are processed in order of receipt.
